There will be a little bit of an international theme going on on the blog this week, starting today with Erin and Braxton, who have come all the way from the United States. They visited Ireland last week to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary and, after driving around the country in a typically Irish mix of lovely sunshine and not-so-lovely rain, they spent their last evening in the beautiful Cabra Castle, in Co. Cavan. When Erin first contacted me, she told me that she and Braxton haven’t had any professional photos taken since their wedding all those years ago, and since Erin is a photographer too, she thought it was about time they put that right!
We started the session off in the impressive grounds of Cabra Castle, and then went back to their beautiful room for some quick photos in their wedding outfits. I was very impressed that Erin could still fit in her dress 10 years after the wedding! Afterwards, we took the short drive to the nearby town of Kingscourt, for some relaxed portraits in front of some old and traditionally Irish-looking pubs. To Erin and Braxton – thanks so much for choosing me as the photographer who would mark this special occasion in your lives, it was so lovely to meet you both and I hope you had a fantastic trip.
