Winter weddings present a whole range of challenges for a wedding photographer, from the lack of light to the cold temperatures and often – or very often in Northern Ireland – the rain. Every now and then though, a winter bride and groom will wake up and look out the window at the perfect day for a wedding, and Kathryn and Chris were one of those lucky couples!
This wedding took place just a few weeks ago, in the run-up to Christmas, which is always a lovely time to get married – the Christmas decorations are up and everyone is in the mood for a party. As always it was a pleasure to work at Larchfield Estate, the gardens are beautiful for photos all through the year, and looked fantastic in the warm winter light.
What a lovely happy and fun wedding day Kathryn & Chris had, it really made me smile putting together this selection of my favourite photos. Watch out for the biggest groom’s party I’ve ever seen (Chris had 10 men on hand to help him out!), a stunning backless dress and a seriously good wedding cake.
