There are a lot of cool and beautiful places to have your wedding ceremony, and right up there with the best of them would be an olive grove in the south of France! So when Laura and Alex got in touch to ask me to photograph their destination wedding, I was excited to say the least. The whole day would be held at Chateau Canet, a beautiful vineyard estate just a few minutes from the wonderful old city of Carcassonne in South West France.
When I arrived at the olive grove in the morning and watched the gorgeous floral arch being constructed, I knew it would be a beautiful day. Laura and Alex were keen to have a fun and relaxed celebration, so the usual wedding formalities were kept to a minimum and the emphasis was on just enjoying the party with family and friends. As a photographer those are the kinds of days we love, everything just flows with no intervention from us and the easy-going atmosphere means everyone has a fantastic time. And what a joy to have the whole wedding day outside, that doesn’t happen too often back in Ireland!
I hope you enjoy looking through a few of my favourite images from this beautiful destination wedding. Thanks so much to Laura and Alex for inviting me to be a part of it!
