I spend a lot of time at newborn photoshoots waiting for babies to fall asleep, and it’s not often that I meet a baby who sleeps almost the whole time I’m there. But baby Grace was one of those sleepy babies, in fact we tried to get a few shots of her awake at the end of the shoot but it just wasn’t happening! She was so settled that her photoshoot was a real pleasure. Here are a few of my favourite photos – I absolutely loved Grace’s hair, it seemed to have a total life of its own! : )
There’s a bit of a baby boom coming up on the blog! I’m in the middle of a really busy spell of baby and family shoots at the minute, so there will be lots more cuteness over the next week or two, from newborns right through to toddlers. Today it’s the turn of newborn baby Hugh to star, at just one week old. It took him a little while to settle into a nice deep sleep for us, but we eventually discovered that all he wanted was to be wrapped in his favourite blanket – which is very understandable! I love how Hugh sleeps with a bit of a cross face on, it’s very cute. Here are a few of my favourites : )

I’ve got double the cuteness on the blog this morning! Last week I had the pleasure of photographing two beautiful little girls, 7 day old newborn Ava, and her 1 year old cousin Caroline. It’s so lovely that these two are so close in age, I’m sure they’ll be getting up to all sorts of mischief together before long! It’s always such a privilege to be able to return to a client’s home to document a family as it grows. Back in February of last year I had the pleasure of photographing newborn baby Zoe, and last week I was invited back to take some photos of her new little sister Sarah. Despite suffering from a bit of colic, we managed to get Sarah off to sleep for a little while and she did really well to give us some lovely photos even though she obviously wasn’t feeling great. It’s hard to know where to start to describe little Lily! I met her when she was just 5 days old and she really was one of the most beautiful babies I’ve ever seen.
